You’re ready to buy your first essential oils from Young Living. Yay! Congratulations! You’ve made a wise decision that could very possibly change your life in more ways than one. Thankfully, Young Living (YL) has made it very easy to get started with oils. How? With the Premium Starter Bundle and Make a Shift Kit options. Just choose a Bundle or Kit for the ultimate YL easy button! I’ll explain more about the difference between these two sets and the specific ones I recommend for first timers.

Young Living offers some great Starter Bundles and Kits at super savvy prices. There are a variety of products available in these bundles and kits. For instance, there are bundles that are centered around NingXia Red, the Thieves Household Cleaning products, or speciality oils that are for specific wants or needs. But for anyone first starting out, I recommend purchasing a set that is centered around essential oils specifically, rather than other oil-infused products. There will be plenty of opportunities to order other products once you are familiar with your basic oils! But first, let’s get you started with Young Living essential oils!

Premium Starter Bundles

Truly the most cost-effective way to get a bunch of YL products is by purchasing a Premium Starter Bundle (PSB). Young Living did an excellent job putting together PSBs with new customers in mind. These bundles are packed with just the right products to help you get started with oils in the easiest way. Not to mention you will save hundreds of dollars purchasing a PSB versus buying each of the products separately!

Diffusers

There are a few different PSBs available, but my recommendation is to start with one that has a diffuser. There are two options – the PSB with Aria Diffuser and the PSB with Desert Mist Diffuser. A quick difference between the two diffusers: Desert Mist is great for everyday, with a plastic base and cover; whereas Aria is more luxurious with a higher-end wooden base and glass dome. Both have light, sound and runtime options. You can read more about the diffusers here and here. I have had both in my home for years and love them equally! The diffuser is the only difference between the two PSBs we are talking about here, all the other products are identical. Let’s take a look at what else comes in these PSBs!

Oils

Now, onto the oils! Your PSB will come with 5 mL bottles of 12 of YL’s most popular essential oils. YL’s experts have hand selected the oils in your bundle for very specific reasons. These oils will help you get comfortable and gain confidence in using oils. The graphic below lists the 12 oils along with a quick description of ways they are frequently used. They are all extremely versatile and are great for using in many ways – way more than what’s listed!

Additional Products

Because YL wants you to get to experience a variety of products when you purchase the PSB, it comes with some additional goodies! Also in the PSB are 2 AromaGlide roller fitments, Thieves Spray, Thieves Waterless Hand Sanitizer saches and 2 NingXia Red packets. A little bit more about these products:

The roller fitments turn your regular oil bottles into rollers in just two easy steps. Just pop the plastic reducer off the top of the bottle (after taking off the lid) then gently press the roller top down on top of the bottle.
Thieves Spray is a small bottle of sanitizer that is perfect for on the go to clean hands and surfaces. This is super convenient to use on shopping carts or tables at restaurants.
Waterless Hand Sanitizer saches are single-use packets for cleaning hands when you can’t get to a sink for a wash. You can also give one to a friend as a sample!

Make a Shift Kits

Like PSBs, Make a Shift Kits (MSKs) are perfect for beginners. These kits are an awesome value but with fewer products than the PSBs. You will still save almost $100 buying a MSK versus the individual products found in the kit. If you’d rather start with a MSK than a PSB, I highly recommend the Essential Solutions Kit. It comes with 6 oils, a diffuser and it does not disappoint!

Essential Solutions

This kit comes with the sleek and versatile FreshStart Diffuser that looks fabulous with any decor. Like the other two diffusers above, this one has several light, sound and runtime options.
